Invisible aligners for teeth straightening

Gingivitis has nonspecific symptoms and manifests itself mainly from an inflammation in the form of swollen and reddish gums with purple tints (depending on the severity of the case), soft consistency, sensitivity, bleeding and pain to the touch.

Dental aligners are a very effective and invisible method that allows you to straighten and correct the position of your teeth. As with traditional orthodontic appliances, the teeth are aligned by constant and controlled pressure on them, with the only difference that neither the bracket nor the arch are used, but rather said aligners, as we have indicated previously, they are invisible. The invisible aligners are placed on the teeth and are made from a special plastic that is bio-compatible, being also very durable and flexible.

Advantages of teeth straightening using aligners

It is more than proven that orthodontics with invisible aligners is effective, but it must be taken into account that only an orthodontist can determine if this type of appliance will work for you in an ideal way. There are several reasons why invisible aligners are in increasing demand:

  • First of all, being invisible. No one will notice that you are undergoing orthodontic treatment.
  • You can also enjoy and eat any food. The use of traditional orthodontic appliances implies the problem and the need to remove all the food debris that remains between the ligatures and the brackets, while the invisible aligners do not impose diet restrictions and can be easily removed before meals.
  • Teeth aligners are really comfortable to wear, unlike, for example, metal braces that can irritate the cheeks and gums.
  • In turn, they are easy to clean with toothpaste and toothbrush.
  • And the last one, they give the possibility of predicting how the teeth will look at the end of the treatment

It is really important to bear in mind that orthodontic treatment depends to a great extent on the relationship with your orthodontist and on the correct compliance with his or her instructions.

Dental aligners, treatment and price at ID Dent in Kiev

Teeth straightening and bite correction using dental aligners may not be a suitable method for all patients. When there are less serious defects such as slightly clenched, spaced or misaligned teeth, invisible aligners can be an excellent option, but for the solution of a much more complex orthodontic problems (such as a severe malocclusion), your dental specialist will probably recommend to you another type of treatment.

As with classic orthodontic appliances, the duration of treatment depends on the complexity of the case. Normally, the average wear time of dental aligners can be one year, but in the most severe cases it can last up to two years.

Correction of teeth defects with dental aligners is done in several steps. The patient receives a set that includes 15 to 40 pairs with individual depth shapes and sizes. Dental aligners should be used only if it is instructed to do so by the orthodontist and should be changed and examined every two to two and a half weeks.

It is recommended to wear dental aligners for at least 20 hours a day, even at night. During the meal, the appliance can be removed and it must be disinfected correctly (only cold water is enough). Dental aligners can be easily inserted into the teeth without the need of exercise an excessive pressure on it.

The main disadvantage of invisible dental aligners for tooth straightening and alignment of the bite is the price, which is much higher than other appliances. This is due to the fact that the cost of the treatment includes the set of the 15-40 interchangeable pairs of aligners, 3D modelling and impressions of the jaw, as well as regular dental examinations during the treatment.

If you are not satisfied with your smile and want to start a treatment with orthodontic appliances, but want it to be imperceptible, pay attention to this modern solution: invisible aligners.
